Model 4501 is a NEMA 5-15P straight blade grounding plug rated 15 A at 125 V in a 2-pole, 3-wire configuration. It suits residential and light commercial wiring where a field-wireable cord termination is required. The cover and base are PA6 nylon with brass line contacts and #6-32 zinc-plated steel multiple-drive line and ground screws. Terminals accept 14 AWG conductors and follow standard identification: brass for hot, silver for neutral, green for ground. The plug carries full rated current with a maximum 30 °C temperature rise, withstands 2000 V dielectric, holds a V-2 flammability rating, and operates from -40 °C to 60 °C in orange and black.
