Recessed LED Emergency Unit, 120–277V, Dual Adjustable Heads, UL Listed

The EM-RE-U-UL is a recessed LED emergency unit for commercial and institutional egress lighting. It installs in drywall or drop ceiling assemblies using the included bar hangers and carries dual adjustable white LED lamp heads in a 5VA flame-retardant, impact-resistant housing with a white finish. Oval and rectangle trim plates are included. Each lamp head draws 1.0 watt and supports up to 50-ft center-to-center spacing with a 3-ft path of egress at 12-ft mounting height. The unit accepts universal 120–277VAC at 0.03 A and uses a 4.8V Nickel Metal Hydride or Nickel Cadmium battery with an internal solid-state transfer switch for a minimum 90 minutes of emergency illumination. A two-rate solid-state charger restores a discharged battery in 24 hours, and a push-to-test switch with LED indicators supports mandated code testing. LED service life is rated at 50,000 hours. UL Listed for damp locations from 10°C to 50°C, meeting UL924, NFPA 101, NEC, OSHA and local and state codes, and certified to CEC Title 20. Electronics and housing carry a five-year warranty, with the battery prorated for five years.
