Photocell Sensor Head, 800-1500W Load, IP65, 100-240VAC, Zero-Cross Relay

A digital photocell sensor head for automatic dusk-to-dawn switching of exterior lighting loads. MCU-based zero-cross relay switching connects the load at the zero potential of the sine wave, eliminating inrush current at turn-on and reducing stress on both the relay and connected loads. Suitable for lighting circuits in commercial and industrial outdoor installations. The unit operates on 100-127VAC or 220-240VAC, 50/60Hz, with a maximum load capacity of 800W at 100-127VAC and 1500W at 220-240VAC. The light-level trip point is field-adjustable by knob from below 5 Lux to 20 Lux for turn-on, with a corresponding off threshold of 30 to 70 Lux. Operation is unaffected by ambient temperature and humidity, and the manufacturer rates service life at up to 5 years. Housing measures 65 x 72.5 x 97 mm in a white finish. The sensor head carries an IP65 waterproof rating for exposed outdoor mounting and is supplied with a 3-year warranty.
