The 5-LW1715 is a surface mount aluminum LED channel used to secure, protect and conceal LED strip runs on walls, ceilings, cabinetry and other flat surfaces. At 17 mm wide and 15 mm tall in an 8.2 ft (98 in) length, it produces a finished, uniform appearance across commercial and residential installations. The extrusion is 6063-T5 aluminum with an anodized silver surface that acts as both a heat sink and physical protection for the LEDs. A 12.8 mm inner width accepts flexible LED strips up to 12 mm wide. The push-in milky polycarbonate diffuser transmits 86% of incident light with medium diffusion to soften individual LED points, and the assembly is rated for ambient temperatures from -50 C to 100 C.
